The second developmental stage of adolescence is the:
* MIDDLE ADOLESCENCE(14-17 yrs. old)
--> complaints that parents interfere with independence
--> extremely concern with one's appearance and body
--> concern about sexual attractiveness
--> feeling of love and passion
# This developmental stage makes teens misunderstand their parents and think that they're "pakilamera". There's this instance wherein even the dress that we will wear will be interfered by our parents but come to think of it are they really "pakilamera"?
# This stage makes us extremely concern with our appearance. We can see everything that is wrong in our body. Although honestly, I do get concern with my body I'm not in favor of criticizing my body because it is a gift from GOD and we must accept it whatever it is.
# We are now conscious about our sexual attractiveness. For us, it does not matter if we are beautiful or not as long as there's something attractive within our body.
# And lastly, we feel love and passion. We should not be confused about love and infatuation. Infatuation is the certain romantic feeling that we feel for a person of the opposite sex, it is what we call "crush". Love is definitely different from infatuation. You cannot wake up one morning and say " Oh, I love ____ already!", that's definitely wrong!! Loving a person needs the willingness of the person to accept his/her partner inside and out.
(the last developmental stage will be discussed in my next reflection)
